Tips for showing the day on the screen may not be groundbreaking, whether you're using Windows 7, 8, or Windows 10. But it's been an issue for many Mytour readers as there have been a large number of requests this week for guidance on how to display the day and date on a computer.
Trick to show running seconds on the Taskbar in a computer
In a recent article, we touched on how to display seconds on a computer, a topic related to time. However, we won't go through as many steps as showing seconds on a computer. Instead, we'll proceed with a simpler method to display the day and date, especially to show the day on the screen.
Guide on displaying the day and date on a computer.
Step 1: First, open the Start Menu, type 'Control Panel' in the search, and access the found result.
Note: On Windows 7, you don't need to do this step because you can see Control Panel just by opening the Start Menu.
Step 2: In Control Panel, first adjust to Large icons display mode.
Then find an item named Region, click on it to set up displaying the day and date.
Step 3: In Region, switch Format from default to Vietnamese, then click Additional settings.
Step 4: In Additional settings, click on the Date item, here you add the ddd characters to the Short date section (or Long date depending on the display settings).
Explanation of characters:
- d or dd = day: day of the month.
- ddd or dddd = day of the week: day of the week and it's the day.
- m = month: Month.
- y = year: Year.
After completing the edits, press Apply and select OK.
Step 5: This step is specifically for Windows 10 because on this operating system, displaying the day and date is restricted unlike Windows 7, 8. To display the day and date, you need to turn off the Taskbar's small mode. Specifically, right-click on the Taskbar and choose Taskbar settings.
Step 6: In the Taskbar settings section, turn off the Use small taskbar buttons.
And the outcome will be as shown below, we've completed displaying the day on the computer.
With just a few minor changes on the computer, you can display the day and date on your computer. For those who prioritize time management, this is a trick to implement right away on the computer, and as you delve deeper into the topic, Mytour is confident that you will discover more features beyond displaying the day on the screen.
In case the time on your computer is incorrect or wrong, please proceed to adjust the time on your computer, as different operating systems will have different methods for adjusting the computer's time.
In Windows, there is a very useful section called Control Panel mentioned in this article, which is quite important for computer settings. Instead of spending time searching for Control Panel, why not try setting up quick access to it. For those using Windows 10, adding Control Panel to the Windows 10 Power Menu is not difficult at all. Refer to the guide on how to add Control Panel to the Win 10 Power Menu to learn more about this topic.
