Understanding UDIMM

Identifying UDIMM RAMs
A non-buffered UDIMM can be either a full-sized DIMM or a SO-DIMM.
Because buffered memory is essential only for servers and workstations, all SO-DIMMs are UDIMMs. Moreover, most full-sized DIMMs are UDIMMs. A UDIMM lacks a buffer processor in the middle of the memory module.
