I've discovered an incredibly effective method for making a remedy to treat cough, phlegm, and relieve cold symptoms in children. Just after 3 - 4 days, my child was completely recovered. Moms, take a look:

Last time, I was very busy taking care of Su Su who was sick, coughing a lot, and even had a fever. I went to several pharmacies, and every pharmacist prescribed antibiotics with the mindset: 'If there's inflammation in the body, there's fever, and if there's inflammation, antibiotics are needed to cure it!', which is not correct. I said: That's an overuse of antibiotics. In the end, I only bought a fever-reducing patch to apply to my child's forehead at night and took care of my child in my own way. Among them, I learned how to care for a sick child from other talented mothers currently living abroad, while also incorporating the traditional Chinese medicine remedies I've learned and researched on my own.
DIY Remedy for Cough, Phlegm, and Cold Relief for Babies:
Ingredients for Cold and Flu Remedy:
- Imported pears: 1 fruit, if small, use 2 (mothers can buy pears from Australia, the US, or any type except Chinese pears, like the ones in the picture which cost 400k/kg, larger ones I bought from the supermarket cost 295k/kg).

- Ginger: just 1 small piece
- Garlic: 3 cloves (only use garlic if your child has phlegm and thick nasal discharge, greenish in color. If the cough is dry and nasal discharge is thin, you don't need to use garlic!)
- Granulated sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Sea salt: ½ teaspoon
- Honey: Pour an amount enough to soak all the pear slices, with the excess honey filling about 1/3 of the pear container (any type of honey is fine as long as it's from a reliable source)
*** Please note that you should not use dried onions together with honey because it is toxic. I've warned about this many times, if you don't listen and continue to do so, one day your child may end up regretting going to the hospital due to poisoning.
Method for Making Cough, Phlegm, and Cold Relief Remedy for Babies:
- Peel the pears, cut them into small pieces for easier absorption of honey and herbs. Then put the pears in a small bowl.

- Peel and slice the ginger cleanly.

- Crush the garlic cloves.
- Divide the pears into pieces, mix them with ginger + garlic + salt + granulated sugar + honey, then steam over boiling water.

- When steaming, remember to pour water until it reaches halfway up the pear bowl, then bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover the pear pot and steam for exactly 30 minutes.

- When the pears are done, upon lifting the pot lid, you'll notice the honey bubbling lightly (almost invisible due to the steam cooking!). The pears will be soft, all ingredients dissolved into a broth, gently mix with chopsticks, you'll see the liquid level rising to cover the pears entirely, emitting a pleasant herbal aroma.
- Remove the pear bowl, then use a fork to skewer each pear slice for serving. Eating these pears is very beneficial, it will help reduce fever quickly.

- For the herbal solution, administer to your child as follows: For children aged 2 - 3 years, give 5ml/dose, 3 times a day. For children aged 3 - 10 years, give 10ml/dose, 2 - 3 times a day.
*** FOR INFANTS UNDER 1 YEAR OLD: Follow the same method but without honey. Instead, squeeze ½ a lemon and follow the same procedure as above! Then feed the lemon-infused water to your baby, about 3ml each time.
- If your child refuses to take it with a spoon, get a syringe from the pharmacy (like the one in the picture), draw 5ml and hold your child upright, slowly squirt the medicine into the corner of their mouth, little by little, 5ml goes in quickly!

- Stick to this method, and after just 2 days, your child will be fever-free, cough less, and have reduced nasal discharge. After 3-4 days, your child will be completely recovered, without needing any additional antibiotics. However, for severe cases, continuous high fever, or pneumonia, consult a doctor immediately, absolutely do not give your child random medication without medical guidance.
