In the upcoming LPL Summer 2022, Doinb reveals that players will face an intense competition schedule.
On 02/04 (Vietnam time), LCK Spring 2022 concluded with Faker and teammates clinching the championship. This year's Spring schedule for LCK is significantly shorter than previous years. The reason is attributed to LCK teams entering the player selection for the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou. The head coach of the South Korean team is Coach kkOma, and players will undergo voting this month.

The Asian Games 2022 is a crucial event that no LCK player wants to miss. For the first time, League of Legends, in particular, and Esports, in general, become medal events at this spectacle. Moreover, winning the gold medal grants exemption from mandatory military service for players like Faker, only requiring them to fulfill special military service obligations and continue their careers.

If LCK teams are rushing in Korea, LPL is even more urgent. Not only to affirm the level of Chinese League of Legends but undoubtedly, if they defeat LCK in another final, right on their home turf, LPL will solidify its dominance in the world of League of Legends.
Due to its significance, Doinb recently revealed surprising information that left the global League of Legends community and LPL fans in awe: 'In LPL Summer, from group stage to playoffs and then the final, it will only last for 1 and a half months. All for the preparation of Asian Games 2022.' For those unaware, under normal circumstances, LPL Summer usually lasts for 3 months, from June to September. Afterward, teams would have a break to prepare for the Worlds taking place right after.
Doinb reveals the horrific schedule of LPL Summer to come
With information from Doinb, a day of competition in LPL Summer 2022 can have 4 BO3 matches. In the scenario where the group stage concludes in 34 days, the 10 teams entering the playoffs will play for 6 days, with 2 BO5 matches each day. Additionally, there are 2 more days for the finals. Thus, considering the short rest time, as Doinb stated, LPL Summer may only take place within approximately 42 - 45 days.
In reality, LPL has witnessed days with back-to-back 2 BO5 matches. As an example, when SofM was playing for Snake Esports, he had to play 2 BO5 matches consecutively in a single day. If the competition schedule is indeed as Doinb provided, this will be one of the most grueling Summer Splits in the history of League of Legends. Each team will need to prepare extremely carefully, as a single mistake could jeopardize the entire journey.
