'And the important thing is, in youth, one doesn't fear stumbling. So what if you fall, just cry if it hurts and always, always get back up! The youth of anyone who stays still, has already seen defeat. Even if slipping backward and legs bloodied, shoulders strained from effort,... but always, always must strive upward.'
In the past, everything to me was tinted with rose-colored glasses. Though I won't admit it, the hues of an eighteen, twenty-year-old are vastly different from those at twenty-five. Just passing through a mere five years, but one can already see how far removed they are from that time!

Youth, one possesses so much. Belief, health, time, passion, stubbornness, and defiance, and so on and so forth. These contribute to the belief that one can change everything within reach. From the simplest matters to the wildest adventures or challenges... And the important thing is, in youth, one doesn't fear stumbling. So what if you fall, just cry if it hurts and always, always get back up! The youth of anyone who stays still, has already seen defeat. Even if slipping backward and legs bloodied, shoulders strained from effort,... but always, always must strive upward.

At an age more seasoned, people look at the relationships around them. Friends may not need to be many, just enough. Few but of quality. It means, when you hurt, I cry. When you fall, I lift you up. Even if the whole world turns its back on you, rest assured, I'll still be there. These precious relationships, they make the seasoned age a bit less burdensome. Of course, there still exists in life meaning we still have to strive, toil. But together, carrying the load, everything becomes lighter.
And at a certain age, people just want to cluster back home. Meaning, busy day and night, all one looks forward to is rest and to 'peek' at someone. Just hoping to kick off shoes, shed all the burdens of life outside the doorstep, and return to nestle together in sweet dreams of life. People just want to nurture their hearts with peaceful days. Hoping the storms will stop in a faraway place, no longer wanting to burden anyone with sighs of trouble, nor wanting anyone to suffer for them. Sometimes, witnessing loved ones cry, it tears the heart with shared sorrows.

Time is law. Law is time. Everything changes, everyone will change. If you live a flat life, don't rejoice too soon, but dare to stir things up a bit, let everything deviate from its orbit, and try once to be 'crazy' with life and see how it goes. Remember, a heart with few scratches has never been a perfect heart... On the contrary, if life hands you a few 'bitter pills,' just smile and accept them. What's a bit of that? Keep walking the path, keep crossing the waves. Because after all, those who stay, what we've been through... that's the most valuable thing that nothing can exchange for!
