LMHT fans quickly point out numerous similarities between Arcana Drow Ranger and Vayne Blossom of the Elemental Forest.
The highly-anticipated Arcana for Drow Ranger in DOTA 2 has officially launched. According to Valve, the Arcana, part of the Dread Retribution Bundle, will undergo extensive changes to the character's appearance, animation, motion and spell effects, and ability displays. Drow Ranger's Arcana will be integrated into the Battle Pass at level 333.

A quick look reveals the transformative nature of Drow Ranger's Arcana on her appearance. No more cloak, head-covering hat, or flowing long hair; instead, tightly tied silver ponytailed hair, intense red eyes, and a switch from a bow to a large crossbow.

However, LMHT fans immediately find something amiss. Many point out the striking resemblance between the new designs of Arcana Drow Ranger and Vayne in the Blossom of the Elemental Forest skin introduced to the LMHT community in 2020. While Vayne's skin line predominantly uses purple and carries a strong East Asian vibe, Drow Ranger's Arcana uses green and silver-white with a medieval European feel. Also, Drow Ranger lacks a mask.

Even DOTA 2 enthusiasts themselves have observed that Valve's design team may have been 'pushing the deadline and drew inspiration from LMHT.' From the high-tied bun to the crossbow, everything evokes thoughts of Vayne. Additionally, the gliding motions of Arcana Drow Ranger during movement further bring to mind the Night Stalker.

Certainly, it's impossible to assert whether Arcana Drow Ranger is 'imitating' Vayne or not. Each side has its own rationale, and the debates will persist within the communities of the two most prominent MOBA games in the world today. However, achieving level 333 and obtaining this Arcana also demands players to 'contribute' to Valve or 'grind' Battle Pass Points extensively.
