As the newest release from Flying Wild Hog, the creators of the Shadow Warrior series, Space Punks has generated high anticipation among gamers and critics alike. It's currently available for free on the Epic Games Store, so you can download and play it right away.
Described as a blend of Borderlands and Diablo, Space Punks is an action-packed co-op RPG with engaging gameplay. Its use of a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting and thrilling action sequences further reinforces this description.
With cooperative gameplay at its core, players can team up with their friends to hunt down space creatures across galaxies in search of loot and weapons. Various types of weapons, including pistols, rifles, and even katanas, can be used by multiple characters, featuring vibrant and colorful visual effects.
During the current Open Beta phase, there will be no microtransactions in the game. This means players can only acquire items through gameplay and in-game scavenging. Once it transitions to the official monetization phase, Space Punks will introduce a cash shop for players to make purchases.
Given the online nature of Space Punks, the game will receive updates and new content as it grows over time. Developers have announced that this game will also make its way to console platforms later this year, although no specific release date has been listed yet.
