Download unsupported apps in Vietnam on Windows Phone

Apps on the Windows Phone store are quite abundant, but still fail to meet all user needs. Some apps may not be supported if your region is set to Vietnam.

In the early days of Windows Phone development, Vietnam lacked its own app region format for selection. Consequently, our app store couldn't match the variety found in the US or Singapore.

Thankfully, you can still download and install apps not tailored for Vietnam by changing your device's region settings directly on your Windows Phone. It's just a little effort.

Here's how you can change your region settings to download apps on Windows Phone:

Step 1: Go to Settings > Language + region from the Menu screen.

Step 2: Select the Region format, and you'll see a list of countries to choose from. You can opt for the United States since it supports most apps.

Step 3: After selecting the desired region format, restart your device.
