Dragon Bridge Danang – A New Icon of the City in the Era of Integration
The construction of Dragon Bridge began in 2009 with a total budget exceeding 1.5 trillion. Since late 2005, in preparation for the project, the City People's Committee organized a design competition for Dragon Bridge with the participation of 8 consulting firms from Vietnam, Japan, Germany, and the United States.

The design proposal by Louis Berger Consulting Company (USA), based on the concept of depicting the shape of a flying dragon over the Han River towards the vast sea, surpassed 17 other designs and was selected.
Dragon Bridge boasts a uniquely modern design

The Guinness World Record was officially registered for the Dragon Bridge.
Upon completion, the Dragon Bridge became a significant and memorable event for the entire city of Da Nang. It marks a remarkable milestone for the Vietnamese team of officials, engineers, and workers in mastering the technology of designing and constructing a complex and modern bridge structure.
