Hanoi – Bac Ninh – Ha Long Route: 155 km. This is the shortest road route from Hanoi to Ha Long for a delightful 3-hour drive, with the journey unfolding as follows:

Passenger Bus
Travelers can take major bus companies operating from Luong Yen or My Dinh bus stations. The first trip departs at 6:00 AM and the last at 5:00 PM (with a travel time of 3-4 hours). Buses arrive at Bai Chay station in Ha Long with intervals ranging from 5 to 15 minutes. Ticket prices vary from 100,000 VND per seated passenger to 200,000 VND per sleeper passenger.
Train from Hanoi to Ha Long
Travelers can opt for the HALONG EXPRESS tourist train departing from Gia Lam station. The train departs at 7:05 AM, taking around 5 hours to reach Ha Long. Ticket prices are 5 USD/one way/passenger (for Vietnamese passengers) and 15 USD/one way/passenger (for international passengers).
