Five months ago, I experienced severe abdominal pain. My mother took me to the hospital where the doctor diagnosed me with colitis and recommended surgery. However, my family decided not to rush into surgery and sought further examination elsewhere for confirmation. Then my mother and I went to the central hospital in Can Tho for another check-up. Here, the doctor diagnosed me with ovarian cysts and said the tumor was as big as ...a grapefruit, suggesting immediate surgery.
Before paying for hospital admission for surgery, I overheard the woman next to me saying how painful it was after the surgery and how it could lead to infertility. It sounded somewhat illogical to me, but as a patient, it made me extremely anxious, so I insisted on going home to rethink.
Days later, I was still haunted by the experience, enduring excruciating pain, crying all day long. Seeing this, my mother anxiously sought advice from various people on what I could drink to alleviate the pain. Thank goodness, an acquaintance recommended this herbal remedy for my mother to make for me to drink. After drinking it for over a month, I no longer felt any pain. My mother and I hurriedly went back to Can Tho for another check-up, and the doctor was surprised to find no trace of the tumor.
The doctor asked me what I drank to get better, and I said I drank royal lady herb, papaya leaves, and turmeric. He said that's a very good traditional remedy, but not everyone gets cured by it. Maybe it suited my body, so I recovered quickly. The recipe for this herbal remedy is as follows:
Effective remedy for ovarian cysts
- 20g Royal Lady Herb leaves (2 leaves)
- 20g turmeric root
- 50g dried papaya leaves (3 leaves, including stems).
Boil 3 cups of water until reduced to 1 cup, divide into 3 servings to be consumed throughout the day after meals. The medicine should be taken in cycles, each cycle lasting about 20-25 days, with a 10-day break before the next cycle. Alternatively, it can be consumed continuously in a single cycle for 49 days.

- Feeling of fullness in the abdomen.
