DTCL: Unveiling the Potent Riven Song Sinh Strategy Few Know About
Song Sinh Ma Quái has become a highly contested core, but if you can't play Vex Song Sinh, why not try Riven instead? This can be considered a super aggressive pro-build when you face challenges with champion selection or want to play Riven when the Ma Quái core comes out in the second carousel. It is extremely effective in situations where you need to pivot in the mid-game.

Why Riven?
This strategy is specifically used when facing Vex competition, playing against the Ma Quái Song Sinh core, or if you get it in the second carousel and want to capitalize on it.
In reality, Riven has been a hot reroll in recent times as the 8-bit continues to receive buffs, and it's even preferred over Yone because the Super Star is easier to roll. Riven's new equipment set includes the life force from Infinity Edge, making Song Sinh Ma Quái viable. You can play two Riven or later transition to two Caitlyns with various variations.
The recommended items for Riven currently, according to top players, are full attack, skipping Giant Slayer to focus on survival through armor creation. Therefore, the core three items are Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, and Guardian Angel. These three items are crucial when playing Riven and are almost irreplaceable. For excess damage items, you can give them to Caitlyn, and for tank items, you can give them to Mordekaiser.
Recommended cores: QSS, Bloodthirster, Redemption, Nature's Aid, Live for Danger, Sweet Harvest, Pandora, Poisoner...
How to Play and Build the Team
As mentioned earlier, this is a flexible strategy in case of champion competition when you already have the Song Sinh Ma Quái core, or if you want to force Riven from the beginning if you get a beautiful item. Therefore, you should play the early game with an 8-bit formation to stack points. Let Corki hold the Riven items and prioritize building Infinity Edge first, as it's an item that works well with both Riven and Twitch when combined with Song Sinh Ma Quái.
Play around Corki in the early game, and the goal is to maintain health and stack 8-bit points, rather than focusing too much on win streaks. If possible, you can intentionally lose three rounds in the beginning to secure a better shopping phase and pick up items for Riven. Pay attention to the lobby; if there's a player contesting the Vex or Twitch Song Sinh, you can consider pivoting, but if someone is playing Riven, it's better to switch compositions.
Reach level 6 at 3-2 and the second carousel to start looking for the Song Sinh Ma Quái core. This is the time when you can get the Song Sinh Ma Quái core and switch to playing Riven Song Sinh. The goal of this strategy is not to waste the core, and currently, Riven is the champion that best fulfills that role. If you've determined that you can play and no one else in the lobby is contesting, assemble items and start preparing satellite champions for Riven. Keep Corki and stack 8-bit points; only switch out Super Stars if it's a top-tier unit. Reach level 7 at 3-6 or 4-1 and start looking for Super Star Riven. Slow-roll gradually for profit, and if necessary, drop to 40 or even better, 30 gold in one turn without rolling too deep to find the Super Star. It will be challenging to recover economically otherwise.
Unlike regular Riven, in this variation, you can use either 8-bit or Thánh Ra Dẻ - of course, 8-bit is the best. Your team composition at this point will consist of two Rivens to activate Song Sinh, Mordekaiser as a tank, 3 Thánh Ra Dẻ, and at least two 8-bit. Roll for Riven 3 stars, and you can reach level 8, considering an all-in at the end of stage 4 if you don't have Riven 3 yet.
When the pair is activated, Riven will deal insane damage with a critical hit rate close to 100%, plus attack speed and health from the core, making her nearly invincible. This champion can hardly be shocked to death by any means, including powerful damage stacking strategies like Disco.
When you reach level 8, depending on the situation, you can play as usual, with Viego as the second carry, or go for the Caitlyn pair because this champion is now uncontested, and it's easy to find multiple Caitlyns. Don't give the duplicate Riven the Riven item because it's very weak. We mainly take advantage of the strength of the core to create an unbeatable Riven.
This strategy can even go to level 9 if you roll Riven 3 stars in the mid-game. In duo cases, even Yone can't beat a buffed Song Sinh Riven, and we also have backline damage, making this variation powerful. Many gamers have used this unique playstyle in the APAC tournament, and most of them easily secured the top spot.
