DTCL 9.5: Vô Pháp Surges Ahead, Dominating Even with 4 Cost 3-Star Units
Vô Pháp, once slightly forgotten towards the end of season 9, has made a powerful comeback with the 4-cost milestone buffed, making the new strategy of playing 4 Vô Pháp extremely dominant in the meta. With the new carry Qiyana boasting strong 1v1 solo potential, the inherent weakness of Vô Pháp against tanky champions has been almost nullified, turning them into the most versatile lineup in this 9.5 season.

Why Play 4 Vô Pháp?
The additional 10% damage buff for the first attack has made Vô Pháp extremely powerful in mid and late game, as champions begin to have more health. This lineup boasts numerous carries, allowing you to utilize almost every piece, as new items like Royal Crown or Shadow Edge are highly effective for Vô Pháp.
The carries for this lineup will be Qiyana + Ekko or Katarina (depending on which champion reaches 3 stars or transforms into Zaun effectively), Qiyana's items will be Infinity Edge, Bloodthirster, and Sterak's Gage. Ekko and Katarina can share items like Guardian Angel + Hand of Justice, Last Whisper.
Qiyana effectively replaces Zed, as although her AoE damage isn't as high as Zed's, Qiyana has the ability to stun for solo frontline champions, something Zed cannot do. Playing 4 Vô Pháp also avoids being overly dependent on Deathblade as before, making the strategy highly flexible.
TechnologyCore items to aim for: Pandora's Box, Heart of Vô Pháp, Chosen Insight, Vampiric Scepter, Super Vampiric Scepter, Golden Ticket, Wings of Flight, Sweet Returns, Ruby Guarantee, Distant Friends...
How to Play and Level Up
You can choose between Legendary Twisted Fate for Pandora's drawing, or Veigar for Ruby Guarantee to free up 1 item slot for the carries, as all your champions benefit from it very well. Choose whichever Legendary suits your preference, if you feel unlucky, just pick Twisted Fate, but Veigar will be stronger towards the end of the game because you get an extra item slot - making it easier to reach the top position.
You can win streak if you choose Twisted Fate and draw Infinity Edge early, provided you have a 2-star champion like Samira or Jhin holding items, as well as a 2-star tank. If you choose Veigar, you should lose streak to get and combine items early for Qiyana later. Vô Pháp is a tempo-based strategy, you need to win streak to save money to roll at level 6, so if you're not confident, just lose streak to be safe.
Level up to 6 at 3-2 and save up 50 gold, then start rolling until you get Qiyana and reach the 4 Vô Pháp milestone, focus items on Qiyana and start winning matches again to recover health. Save up 50 gold again then slow roll gradually until you get Qiyana 3 stars, during this process, keep an eye on the lobby and check Zaun transformation. If Katarina has no contenders and you get her 2 stars early, then roll Katarina 3 stars. Otherwise, if there are Noxus players or mutations like Adaptive Ornament/Bacterial Mutagen then roll Ekko 3.
At the latest by 4-5, you'll need to get Qiyana 3 stars, so consider going all-in at that point to avoid losing too much health. Unless you have beautiful roll cores like Golden Ticket or Wings of Flight, then don't try to roll both Ekko and Katarina, it's extremely expensive and takes up slots in the queue. Remember to always prioritize Qiyana first because this is the winning condition, the other 2 Vô Pháp champions just need you to survive, late game in any case, they will reach 3 stars.
After rolling Qiyana, level up to 7 and continue rolling for Ekko or Katarina 3 stars. Complete the lineup with a 4 Vô Pháp + 4 Deathblade formation at level 8, if you play Ekko, the final champion will be Silco, otherwise replace with Sion if playing Katarina. It's not important to trigger Ixtal, unless the match mutation is ice otherwise Ixtal isn't very effective in this lineup, trying to put champions into the mutation square will be easy for the opponent to predict, only play Ixtal if you can trigger the 4-cost milestone.
The most important thing when playing Vô Pháp is positioning the champions, put 4 Vô Pháp champions in the top row to immediately hit the opponent's tank lineup, triggering the passive and quickly retreating to the back row. Keep scouting opponents constantly, let Qiyana go with the enemy carry and pull Ekko with Katarina in the opposite direction. Pay attention to champions like K'Sante or Fiora, avoid letting your Vô Pháp face these champions because they have the ability to redirect targets that Vô Pháp cannot jump back from. Overall, this deck is very strong, but you have to know how to position your lineup and constantly scout opponents to have a chance at the top spot.
Vô Pháp is currently a very strong deck for those who love reroll gameplay, so apply this guide from Mytour to experience it right away.
