TheShy no longer heavily relies on a champion once regarded as his 'secret weapon.'
TheShy is among the most outstanding top laners in League of Legends history, both in general and in the LPL specifically. Currently, 'Shy ca' continues to maintain a fairly good form. Despite occasionally throwing games with the entire WBG team, whenever he switches to a serious mode, hardly any top laner in LPL Spring 2022 can match his skill.

Additionally, TheShy is renowned for his extensive champion pool. The League of Legends community is accustomed to seeing TheShy utilize many marksmen or high-damage top lane champions. However, TheShy is also fully capable of performing well with tank champions, as evidenced in LPL Spring 2022. On numerous occasions, 'Shy ca' has effectively used tanks like Malphite, Sion, and secured victories for Weibo Gaming.

But according to TheShy's assessment, one of his former 'ace' champions is no longer suitable, even 'too trash,' and that's Riven. According to TheShy's former teammate Ning, during a conversation with 'Shy ca' about League of Legends, the top lane of WBG commented that the champion Riven is now 'too trash,' and TheShy also affirmed to Ning that he will no longer use this champion.
Honestly, although a champion with good burst potential, Riven's skillset has become too outdated compared to the current League of Legends meta. Moreover, due to her fragility, Riven also struggles to survive in prolonged engagements without significant items. Consequently, in early skirmishes, this Noxian champion is practically rendered useless.

TheShy's comments may not be enough to sway Riot about how obsolete Riven is in today's League of Legends, but they do highlight a reality: there are too many champions gradually being left behind, with Riot itself not bothering to address them. Now, for Riven to make a comeback in League of Legends and professional play, Riot may need a serious overhaul dedicated to this champion.
