Ducati unveils Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversary 916 to honor the iconic 916
Ducati has just launched the Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversary 916 to commemorate 30 years of the legendary 916 model, still considered the gold standard in sportbike design and one of the most beautiful motorcycles of all time.The hallmark features of the 916, the bike that initiated the design DNA of all Ducati sportbikes, can be found on the Panigale Anniversario, such as the front-weight bias, the swooping curves viewed from above, and elements like the headlight, nose, air intakes, V-shaped fairings, diamond-cut fuel tank, short tail, and single-sided swingarm.The Panigale Anniversary pays homage to the iconic 916 with a paint scheme crafted by Centro Stile Ducati. The colors of the 916 remain one of the most prominent and impressive designs in not just Ducati's racing history but the racing world at large. The 916 clinched the Superbike World Championship title with Carl Fogarty in 1999.Three iconic colors representing the Italian flag adorn the fairings, with a redesigned white race number 1, reminiscent of the 916, while the black part of the fairings pays tribute to the air ducts of the 916. Finally, the fuel tank cover features a golden laurel wreath logo as seen on the 916.
The Panigale V4 SP2 30th Anniversary 916 is produced in a limited quantity of 500 units and is sequentially numbered on the triple clamp. Upon purchasing the bike, customers will receive a certificate of ownership and a special cover tailored for this bike.The technical specifications of the Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 mirror those of the SP2 (215 horsepower and 123 Nm, dry weight 178kg, and a host of premium electronic systems) but are enhanced with numerous high-quality details to make it unique.
