Fast & Furious enthusiasts express deep gratitude to Louis Leterrier for accomplishing the seemingly impossible – bringing back Dwayne Johnson to the Fast & Furious film series.

The Rock's return to Fast & Furious appears somewhat shocking, especially considering his prior reluctance to collaborate with fellow franchise star, actor Vin Diesel. Vin and Dwayne had their differences during the making of The Fate of the Furious in 2017.
While Johnson and Diesel haven't revealed the details of their reunion, Fast X director Louis Leterrier – who took over from Justin Lin after a brief production halt for the sequel – shared his version of events with The Hollywood Reporter.
When THR asked, 'Who brokered the peace deal?', Louis promptly responded: 'The peace deal… I practically brokered it. All we did'.
'I had an idea and pitched it to the producers as well as the studio,' - Louis continued - 'And then we reached out to Dwayne and his team and said, 'Come and watch the film. You'll love this from the first minute.' And he came, watched the film, genuinely loved it, and then we started talking.'
'It went very smoothly, and to be honest, as a fan, I can't imagine continuing the franchise without Dwayne or Gal Gadot.'
