The festival spans 3 days (from 11th to 13th March) and takes place at 2 locations: Thon 3, Cu Prong Commune and the Boat Racing Competition at Ea Kar Lake, Ea Kar Town, Ea Kar District, Dak Lak Province.

During March 11th-12th, at Thon 3, Cu Prong Commune, residents and tourists will immerse themselves in vibrant cultural and sports activities such as: reenactment of traditional rituals of one of the ethnic minorities in the district; visiting trade fairs, showcasing distinctive agricultural products; enjoying outstanding cultural programs (such as traditional singing and dancing, musical performances, bonfire gatherings, boat racing songs...); Organizing folk games and competitions at the Festival; visiting Dray Ybar waterfall, Ea De Lake...
The 2nd Cultural Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Ea Kar District in 2023 is a meaningful playground for the ethnic groups in the district, embodying the communal and educational values of ethnic cultures. It aims to enhance solidarity, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for the people.

The leaders of the People's Committee of Ea Kar District stated that the 2nd Cultural Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Ea Kar District in 2023 is an activity to preserve and promote the unique cultures of the ethnic communities in the district. It is also an opportunity to promote characteristic products to tourists, laying the groundwork for local tourism development, strengthening solidarity, and building a healthy cultural life.
To ensure thorough preparation for the Festival, the People's Committee of Ea Kar District requests agencies, units, and localities to focus on implementing their assigned tasks effectively. Responsibilities are assigned to members of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Office of the District People's Council & Committee with proactive coordination and implementation; monitoring, urging progress; directly addressing, or providing recommendations to resolve difficulties.
