A recent study by Human Hours uncovered the hourly amount each employee at a tech company generates. Surprisingly, Apple, the world's most valuable company, doesn't top the list. This comes as a surprise to many as Apple is often seen as a productivity leader.
Based on research analyzing data from over 200 tech companies, Netflix topped the charts in generating the highest revenue per employee working hour in 2022, reaching 1,319 USD. With approximately 12,800 employees, they are paid an average of 107 USD per hour. This means Netflix employees generated over 24 million USD for the company in just one hour.

Following closely, Apple earned 1,284 USD per employee working hour. Despite having a significantly larger workforce of around 164,000 employees, the tech giant pays its employees an average of only 45 USD per hour.
Google trails behind Netflix and Apple in revenue per employee working hour, closely resembling Spotify. However, Spotify achieved 1 billion USD in revenue in a much shorter time frame.
