Simple and Easy Barcode Creation in Word, ExcelStep 1: Install Barcode Font
First, you need to download the barcode font to create barcodes in Word and Excel.

To install the barcode font, open the downloaded font pack, right-click on the .ttf files, and select Install.

In the barcode folder, you'll find two types: Code 39 and Code 128. Both allow character encoding. However, Code 39 requires adding * at both ends of the code for the barcode reader to interpret.
Step 2: Generating Barcodes in Word
Open Word, select the barcode font you've installed. Then type the characters you want, and it will automatically appear as a barcode.
Consider choosing a slightly larger font size to ensure clear barcode printing.

Step 3: Generating Barcodes in Excel
Similarly, open Excel and select the barcode font, then input values into the cells. Just remember, for Code 39 font, you need to add * at the beginning and end of the character sequence.
