Located behind Tan Son Nhat cinema, at the intersection of Phan Dinh Giot and Pho Quang, East Sea Delights restaurant is a place serving fresh, delicious seafood at affordable prices.
A friend of mine, Phuong Hang, once came here during the New Year, was surprised by the dining cost for nearly 20 people, which was only 4 million VND, so she recommended this place to me.
With a fairly wide facade, you can easily spot East Sea Delights 8 restaurant on Pho Quang street. Extending to numbers 1A and 1B, area 1A is more modern with boxed houses, glass fronts, looking quite impressive and classy, while 1B has an outdoor space for those who enjoy seafood al fresco.

Area 1B features a fairly spacious outdoor terrace, perfect for those who enjoy dining on fresh seafood outdoors
The outdoor space exudes elegance, always bustling with customers, so I decided to make a reservation in advance to ensure a table for our meal. I also prefer sitting outdoors, so I booked a table in the courtyard. This place seems quite popular, but there's no service charge when booking in advance.
On this side, as soon as you enter the courtyard, you encounter a large seafood breeding tank commonly found in seafood restaurants. The large tank is filled with shrimp, snails, clams, and sea fish swimming around, incredibly enticing and fresh-looking. I heard the restaurant always serves fresh live seafood, and if guests find any dead seafood, they can have it replaced with another dish, so you can confidently enjoy your meal.
Inside the restaurant, there's also a VIP room with luxurious space suitable for hosting parties, birthdays, or entertaining guests. My friend and I opted to sit in the common dining area indoors for comfort, and besides, the outdoor area was already full.
The restaurant's menu is quite diverse, offering shrimp, squid, snails, fish, clams, oysters, crabs, and mantis shrimp prepared in various styles such as grilled, steamed, hotpot, stir-fried, vinegar dipping, tamarind-coated, peppercorn sauce... for guests to choose from comfortably.

Steamed clams - quite aromatic and flavorful
In addition, there are also seafood fried noodles, crab vermicelli stir-fry, razor clams, blood cockles, salt-grilled squid,... large razor clams, grilled with fragrant scallion oil, sweet and meaty mantis shrimp, best dipped in salt and pepper; just these are incredibly delicious. The plump shrimp is meaty and fragrant, especially when paired with the dipping sauce. The vegetable side dish here is quite good, you can order extra to balance out the richness, or add more clams with fried rice to supplement more starch for digestion.

Additionally, the salad here receives high praise for being delicious and satisfying, with everyone in our group enjoying the lotus stem and shrimp salad.
Another plus point for this place is its fast and attentive service. Despite being quite busy on weekends, we only had to wait for about 5 minutes after ordering. The staff is friendly, asking for feedback and providing helpful suggestions, so our whole group was pleased.
The total bill for 5 people that day was 1.2 million VND, which seemed quite affordable compared to many other places, especially considering the location right in the city center and the comfortable seating. Plus, we also got a 5% discount for booking in advance.
In conclusion, with a location in the city center, comfortable and elegant seating, a diverse menu, and excellent service, East Sea Delights 8 is the perfect choice for group dining or hosting small parties.
