Contrary to popular belief, making it is super simple and cost-effective, even with loads of toppings and cheese. The cost of ingredients for these homemade pizzas is just half of what you'd pay outside. Let's dive into the Pizza-making process below to treat your family!

Ingredients:
- Pizza Crust Section
Note: You can easily buy pre-made pizza crusts at the store for a fairly cheap price, ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 VND. However, if you want to make your own crust, you'll need:
+ 500g all-purpose flour
+ 10g yeast (available at supermarkets or baking supply stores)
+ 1 teaspoon salt
+ 40g vegetable oil
+ 280ml water.
- Sauce
Note: If you're a pizza fanatic looking to save time for future occasions, here's a little tip: make a batch of sauce in advance to use for multiple occasions.
+ 2kg plum tomatoes, with less seeds and more flesh +
50ml extra virgin olive oil
+ 1/2 onion, finely diced
+ 1 tablespoon minced garlic
+ 10ml honey or 1/2 tablespoon sugar
+ Seasonings: ground black pepper, chili powder, soup powder.
- Filling
Note:
- The ingredients for the filling vary depending on the specific recipe, which could include beef, spicy sausage, smoked bacon, ham, shrimp, mushrooms, pineapple, bell peppers, onions... according to taste and preference.
- Due to the lower heat of the non-stick pan compared to an oven, it's advisable to cook the filling beforehand before placing it on the pizza crust. You can quickly sauté the filling for faster cooking. + 25g pre-shredded Parmesan cheese (available at supermarkets or baking supply stores)
How to make:
Step 1: Making the Pizza Crust
- Combine the ingredients for the crust in a large bowl (except water and oil), then mix well by hand. Gradually add water and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.

Note: Let the dough rest for 5 minutes, then use a rolling pin to flatten each small dough ball into a 2mm thick circle. The diameter of the crust depends on the size of your pan.
- Heat the pan, add a few drops of olive oil and spread evenly. Once the pan is hot, place the crust in and cook over low heat, watching until it turns golden brown.
Step 2: Making the Sauce
- Heat oil in a pot, sauté garlic and onions. Then add peeled and deseeded tomatoes, thinly sliced. Simmer over low heat until the tomatoes break down, reduce the liquid, and thicken. Season to taste.

- Add all remaining ingredients to the pot, stir well, and let it marinate for about 1 hour. Divide the mixture into small portions and store in the refrigerator for later use.
Step 3: Baking the Pizza
- First, spread a moderate amount of tomato sauce evenly over the crust to allow the toppings to adhere.
Note: Adding too much sauce will result in a soggy crust and the toppings may fall off while eating.

- Next, sprinkle a layer of shredded or diced cheese, arrange the toppings on top, then add another layer of cheese.

- Place the pizza pan on the gas stove, cover tightly, and turn the heat to low. After about 5 minutes, when the cheese has melted completely, uncover and cook over medium heat for a while to crisp up the crust.
Note: Avoid high heat, which can cause the crust to burn before the toppings have a chance to bond. Also, don't cover the pan completely all the time as the pizza will not be crispy, and the toppings will become soggy from the steam.
And there you have it, your homemade Pizza is ready. You can showcase your skills by trying out a different filling every day for your family. Take a bite of the Pizza and feel the crispy crust quickly melting in your mouth, followed by the creamy and savory layer of cheese intertwined with the hearty filling. It's an irresistible taste experience.
