
After connecting to WiFi, Android phones can generate QR codes for other devices to scan and connect. However, for devices unable to scan QR codes, let's see how to retrieve WiFi passwords on Android phones to help friends connect to the internet.
Note: This feature is only available on Android 12 phones so make sure to check if your phone is compatible before proceeding.
How to Retrieve WiFi Password on Android Phone
Step 1: Access the Wi-Fi section by swiping down to open the quick settings panel from the notification bar, long-press the Wi-Fi icon. Then, you'll see a list of Wi-Fi networks you're connected to and ones you can connect to. To view the password of the Wi-Fi you're connected to, tap on it.

Step 2: A QR code will appear, you can use devices with QR code scanning capabilities to connect to Wi-Fi or tap on the Nearby section below that QR code to reveal the password for you.
