(Homeland) - EDG's management has made statements regarding their team's failure, citing reasons from T1.
Initially underrated this season, Edward Gaming (EDG) performed exceptionally well despite missing key players like Flandre, Scout, and Viper. Just a few days ago, many fans believed EDG would defeat JD Gaming (JDG) to secure a spot in MSI - a tournament the LPL representative has been absent from for a long time. However, in the end, EDG still faced defeat.

Recently, EDG's management went on air to share insights into the team's journey, especially during training sessions with T1. According to EDG's management: 'Throughout the training process, we learned a lot from T1. However, in the practice match, we believed that the bottom lane strategy wouldn't win against T1. So, we learned T1's top lane strategy and gained an advantage. But I never expected that the practice matches with T1 would be a trap.'

Explaining this, EDG's management mentioned witnessing Ale dominating Zeus in the Top Lane and believing that Ale, along with Jax, was very strong. However, in reality, Zeus was not in good condition at that time, and this is what actually helped Ale secure the win. In short, because Zeus was not in good shape, the results of the practice match were inaccurate. 'T1 was the strongest team at that time, globally in League of Legends. But I didn't think that was the moment when Zeus was in poor form.'

However, many opinions suggest that T1 was not in the LPL in reality, and EDG would only have the chance to face T1 at MSI. In theory, EDG's coach needs a specific plan for each opponent and tactics instead of just 'learning from the book' and having counterproductive results. The EDG players themselves did not perform well in the match against JDG, especially the Bottom Lane duo.
Certainly, seeking inspiration and learning from the brilliance of top teams like T1 is essential. However, it's crucial to be adaptable and transform those lessons into effective strategies for victory. That is the ultimate goal for every League of Legends team worldwide.
