Effective habits for Android phone users
Avoid unnecessarily closing background apps
Currently, many Android users have the habit of accessing the phone's multitasking system to completely close apps when not in use. However, in reality, this is considered unnecessary as the operating system automatically manages and processes them. If not needed anymore, simply press the Home button to return to the main screen, and that's sufficient.
Modern Android generations come with integrated self-recovery mechanisms that automatically close apps if not used for a certain period. Hence, we can be assured that letting background apps run won't significantly impact RAM or overall processing speed.
In 2016, Google's Vice President of Platform and Ecosystem, Mr. Hiroshi Lockheimer, advised people to use smartphones naturally and comfortably. The Android operating system manages apps for you without the need to manually close them.

Even upon careful consideration, one would realize that completely shutting down apps only results in the device going through an additional data initialization process when reopening them. This not only slows down app launch speed but also increases power consumption.
Double Tap on the screen
Similar to smartphones running the iOS operating system, Android users can now quickly tap the screen twice to illuminate it without pressing the power button. If your device is running Android 7 or later and the feature is not working, check the settings to ensure it's enabled.

Utilize Google Photos' automatic backup feature
For Android smartphones, users enjoy a nifty feature - automatic backup with unlimited storage on Google Photos. Once activated, whenever your phone connects to any Wi-Fi network, the latest photos automatically sync to Google's storage. So, even if your phone is damaged or lost, those cherished memories and important photos remain safe.

Additionally, users can create multiple albums, making it convenient for family and friends to contribute photos. Searching based on album keywords adds a significant advantage over Apple's iOS competitor.
For contemporary devices, this feature is usually enabled by default. However, if your device hasn't been turned on or is set to sync photos at low quality, access the app, choose Settings -> Backup & Sync -> Turn on -> Photo size -> High quality.
Swipe for Forward or Backward
Android users have long wished for the ability to swipe left or right to navigate through pages or apps, similar to iPhones. Now, Google has officially brought this feature to its devices. Depending on the settings, swiping left, right, or upward responds to various user needs.

Use swipe gestures instead of touch buttons
With this feature, users also enjoy three additional benefits: slimmer bottom bezels, slightly expanded display space, and a more natural and streamlined user experience. However, on some devices, this feature may be hidden and needs to be manually enabled if desired.
