iPhone devices always captivate users with their luxurious design and the well-optimized iOS operating system, known for its excellent performance and security. However, one aspect that often disappoints users about iPhones is their battery life.

In the following article, Mytour will guide you through some 'tricks' to efficiently extend battery life on your phone.
1. Utilize Low Power Mode

From iOS 9 onwards, we can save battery with the Low Power Mode feature. When activated, our iPhone will automatically optimize settings and help improve battery life effectively.
2. Disable automatic updates in iTunes & App Store

Disabling automatic updates in iTunes & App Store helps improve iPhone battery life by preventing background processes and downloads of updates. To turn off automatic updates, go to Settings => iTunes & App Store. Then toggle the switch to off to disable automatic updates.
3. Switch to 2G mode and use regular Wi-Fi connection

If we don't need high-speed 3G/4G connections, it's advisable to switch to 2G network mode as they consume more battery than 2G connections. Additionally, switch to Wi-Fi whenever possible to help reduce overheating and battery drain when using mobile data.
4. Disable unnecessary location services

There's something we may not know, which is the background running of location services. To disable unnecessary location services, go to the Settings menu => Privacy => Location Services => System Services.
Then toggle off unnecessary location services switches as shown in the image below.

5. Disable unnecessary connections

To effectively extend battery life on iPhone, it's advisable to disable unnecessary connections such as Wi-Fi, Cellular Data, and Bluetooth when not in use. Additionally, leave AirDrop set to receive only to save battery and avoid accidental file transfers.
6. Disable background app refresh

By default, apps installed on your device automatically run in the background to receive notifications or updates from developers. To disable this feature, go to Settings => Background App Refresh => Background App Refresh => Off.
7. Avoid completely closing frequently used apps

We often have the habit of force-closing background apps, thinking it will help improve battery usage efficiency, but it doesn't. When we close those apps, the startup time and system resources consumption will be higher compared to letting the app run in the background. However, we should not let heavy apps or games run in the background because they consume a lot of battery.
9. Reduce screen brightness to the minimum level.

Reducing screen brightness to the minimum level is also an effective way to extend battery life on iPhone. However, we should use this feature in emergency situations when you haven't found a place to charge your phone. If you abuse this method, it will reduce your visual acuity because you have to strain your eyes to read unclear text and details.
With the battery-saving tricks outlined in this article, give them a try and evaluate their effectiveness on your device! Wishing you all success!
