Implementing the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes of screen time, take a 20-second break and focus on something 20 feet away.
This rule, devised by California optometrist Jeffrey Anshel, is crucial for office workers. It helps alleviate eye strain caused by prolonged screen time and encourages regular eye breaks to maintain optimal eye health.

Eye Massage Technique: Gently massage around your eyes to prevent eye strain. Use your fingertips to gently massage in circular motions around your eyes for 10 seconds. Then, repeat the process on the lower eyelids for another 10 seconds. This stimulates tear glands and relaxes eye muscles. Next, use your index or middle finger to apply gentle pressure between the eyebrows, holding this position for 4-5 seconds. Repeat this motion 5-6 times to improve eye fluid circulation.
You can perform this technique with your eyes closed. This simple exercise, taking only a few minutes, can quickly relax your eyes. Try to do this exercise at least 5-6 times a day, especially if you spend long hours in front of a computer screen at the office.

Writing with Your Eyes: Look at a wall or into the distance. Keep your head still and use your gaze to form letters.
The larger you try to write, the better it is for your eyes. It might sound amusing, but this simple exercise not only entertains but also relaxes your eyes. You can even do it with your colleagues. Give it a try!

Focus on both near and far objects
Extend one finger in front of you and straighten your arm. Slowly fold your arm towards your nose while keeping your eyes on that finger. Repeat this movement 10 times. You can do this exercise anywhere. This small exercise is also a useful quick fix tip if you are too busy and can only spare a little time for eye rest. Make it a habit to do it regularly between breaks or when you drink water.

Eye Rotation Exercise
In reality, whenever we work or need to look at something in a different position, we often turn our heads to that position, inadvertently keeping our eyes fixed straight ahead even if we change our gaze direction, invisibly making our eyes less flexible. To keep your eyes functioning well, you can try the following method: First, glance your eyes to the left, trying to look at the farthest point on the left without turning your head, keeping your eye position like that for about 5 - 10 seconds, then do the same but glance to the right. Next, focus both eyes on the tip of your nose for 5 - 7 seconds. Finally, rotate your eyes in a circle from left to right 5 - 10 times, then do the opposite from right to left. This method is quite simple and you can do it even while working without needing empty rest time, so make use of every spare moment to soothe eye fatigue.

Relaxing Techniques for Your Eyes
Our eyes are constantly at work, leading to fatigue and strain. Therefore, the next crucial step is to help them relax. When feeling tired, stretch your shoulders, release slowly, and close your eyes for 2-3 minutes. This helps improve blood circulation and relieves tension. Repeat this exercise 5-7 times a day. Give your eyes rest breaks throughout the day, following the 20-20-20 rule. Every hour, stand up, move around, and stretch. These actions will help keep you alert and prevent eye strain.

Eye Resting Techniques
With an average 8-hour workday and the influence of entertainment habits tied to electronic devices like phones, TV, and gaming, our eyes work tirelessly until we sleep. Therefore, to safeguard our eye health, we must allow our eyes ample rest, especially on overtime days and during remote work. Take a break every 30 minutes to 1 hour and close your eyes for 3 - 5 minutes. During lunch breaks, avoid unnecessary phone or computer usage. Simply closing your eyes during lunch may not lead to deep sleep, but it greatly benefits our eyes. Just the act of closing our eyes temporarily helps alleviate fatigue more quickly.
