Reaching Out to Customer Care

Place a Call to UPS Customer Service. Dialing this number will connect you to an automated system guiding you to discuss your specific issue with an agent. The UPS customer service number is 1-800-742-5877.

Interact with the system by responding to the inquiry about your call's purpose. You'll receive a list of common topics to select from, including “Track a package,” “Send a package,” and “Shipping information or order supply.” Once you specify your topic, your call will be directed to the appropriate customer service department.

Utter “agent” into the phone following your initial statement. This will instantly connect you with a live agent in the relevant department. Alternatively, you can mention “Customer service” or press 0 to be connected with an agent.

Opt for sending an email to customer service if calling isn’t convenient for you. Although email responses may take longer, they bypass the need to navigate an automated phone system. To contact UPS customer service via email, visit the “Email Us” page on the UPS website. The URL for this page is: https://www.ups.com/upsemail/input?loc=en_US. You can choose from several categories to describe the nature of your email: Tracking, Receiving a Package, Sending a Package, Billing, Technical Support, or General.
Seeking Assistance with a Package

Visit the UPS website to track your package's location. If you need to contact UPS because your package hasn’t arrived, the first step is to determine its current whereabouts. Visit the UPS Home page, navigate to the Tracking section, and enter your package’s Tracking Number.
- The UPS website URL is: https://www.ups.com/us/en/Home.page.
- The Tracking Number, starting with “1Z,” was assigned to your package when it entered the UPS system.

Explore nearby access points if your package hasn’t arrived. Sometimes, UPS delivers packages to separate receiving facilities called Access Points instead of your home. Look for “Delivered to UPS Access Point” in your package’s tracking updates.
- If your package shows as delivered but you haven’t received it, check areas around your home where the driver might have hidden it to deter theft, such as a back patio or nearby planter.

Contact the Access Point to arrange redelivery or pick up of your package. The UPS website provides information about the hours, location, and directions to the Access Point. If you choose redelivery to your home, it may take up to 2 business days to arrive.
- The redelivery time varies based on the package’s condition upon arrival at the Access Point.

Seek assistance from the UPS Virtual Assistant for other inquiries. Many package delivery issues have straightforward solutions. The UPS Virtual Assistant, available on the Contact UPS webpage, can address most questions you may have. If it cannot, it will direct you to a customer service representative.
- Access the UPS Virtual Assistant at https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-support-center.page.
- This service is particularly helpful for simple questions about the package delivery process or quick clarifications.
