Guide to Creating Shortcuts in Photoshop
Step 1: Select Keyboard Shortcuts from the edit menu
Creating, modifying, and deleting shortcuts in Photoshop are all done from within the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box, which you can access in one of two ways:
- Select Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Choose Window > Workspace > Keyboard Shortcuts & Menus and click on the Keyboard Shortcuts tab.

Before creating or modifying shortcuts, you need to select the existing shortcut set you want to modify. You'll find this option at the top of the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box. By default, Photoshop Defaults is selected, and you can switch to another shortcut set.
Step 3: Choose the type of shortcut you want to create in Photoshop

Step 6: Save the changes
Once you've finished making changes, you can perform one of the following actions:
- To save all changes for the current shortcut set, click the Save Set button. Changes to the current custom shortcut set will be saved. If you're saving changes for the Photoshop Defaults set, the Save dialog box will appear. Enter a name for the new shortcut set and click Save.
- To create a new shortcut set based on the current set, click the Save Set As button. In the Save dialog, enter a name for the new set in the Name field and click Save. The new Photoshop shortcut set will appear in the pop-up menu under the new name.
- To undo the last saved change without closing the dialog, click Undo.
- To revert the new shortcuts to default, click Use Default.
- To discard all changes and exit the dialog, click Cancel.
