Create Group: The group owner sends a text to add members. Syntax:
- Share data: send to 191 (free).
- Share Promotions: send to 191 (free).
Confirmation of joining the group:
- Mobile subscribers: request confirmation to join the group.
- Dcom subscribers: no need for confirmation to join the group (as Dcom subscribers mainly use devices that do not support texting).
Extending Data Sharing Group
The feature of data sharing is extended along with the data package/promotion cycle shared by the group owner's subscribers. The renewal fee is the same as the fee for adding members.
For prepaid data sharing groups:
- The system prioritizes deducting the data package renewal fee before deducting the data sharing service renewal fee. The data sharing service renewal fee is equal to the fee for adding numbers.
- If TKG ≥ renewal fee: successful renewal, the data sharing group continues to use the main data package cycle.
- If TKG is less than the renewal fee: renewal fails, the system cancels the group.
For groups sharing promotions and postpaid data:
If the subscriber operates in at least one direction: successful renewal, the data sharing group continues to use the shared data promotion cycle.
If the subscriber blocks both directions: Suspension of the data sharing feature. Upon unblocking, renewal and deduction of 100% of the data sharing fee.
Cancel Data Sharing Group
Group owners can proactively dissolve groups or remove members, while group members can choose to leave. Syntax:
Dissolve group:
- End Data Sharing Group: END GROUP send to 191 (free).
- End Promotion Sharing Group: END KM GROUP send to 191 (free).
- Remove member:
- End Data Sharing Group: END MEMBER send to 191 (free).
- End Promotion Sharing Group: END KM MEMBER send to 191 (free).
- Leave group:
- End Data Sharing Group: END send to 191 (free).
- End Promotion Sharing Group: END KM send to 191 (free).
Groups automatically dissolve when the group owner ends the data package or the last member leaves the group or the data sharing service fails to renew.
Additional Feature
Setting Limit: Group owners can set usage limits for each group member:
- Set Data Sharing Group Limit: SET LIMIT send to 191 (free).
- Set Promotion Sharing Group Limit: SET KM LIMIT send to 191 (free).
Inquiry:
- Members can check the remaining usage data within the data sharing group. Syntax: CHECK send to 191 (free).
- Members within the group can inquire about group information including the number of members, sharing limits... Syntax: GROUP send to 191 (free) for data sharing groups and syntax GROUPKM send to 191 (free) for promotion sharing groups.

Customers access the My Viettel app, select the 'Invite friends to share Data' section on the main screen (Only displayed for subscribers using applicable data packages/promotions with data sharing feature) and follow the instructions.
