
Explore the wonders of video editing with Filmora by Wondershare. Download and install Filmora to unveil a user-friendly interface. Begin your journey by selecting New Project for creating a fresh project file.
In Step 2, choose Import Media Files Here to import the video you want to add text to.

Moving on to Step 3, click on the (+) sign in the middle of the video to add it to your project. If a prompt appears, select Don’t change.

After downloading and installing Filmora, your interface will resemble the image below. Opt for New Project to initiate the creation of a new project file.

In Step 4, navigate to the Title section on the toolbar and select Subtitle. Choose your preferred Subtitle style and click the (+) sign to add text to your video.

Proceeding to Step 5, move the newly created Subtitle upwards as illustrated in the guide below.

Advancing to Step 6, double-click on the Subtitle area to reveal the selection box. Enter the text you want to insert in the Text name: Subtitle 1 area and adjust other parameters like font, font size, boldness, and italics. In the Preview section, adjust the position of the text on the video to suit your purpose. Once done, click OK to save.

Moving on to Step 7, after inserting text into the video, extend the working area of the Subtitle to increase the appearance time of the text according to your preference.

After inserting text in Step 8, save the video by navigating to Export => Create Video in the menu.

Moving on to Step 9, configure settings as shown below, including naming the file and choosing the save location. Visit the Settings section for video quality adjustments. Then, click Export to export the video.

In Step 10, after inserting text and saving the video to your computer, open the video and enjoy the fruits of your efforts.
