To achieve this, install VMware Tools by navigating to the VM menu and selecting Install VMware Tools... (Image below)
For the latest VMware version (VMware 10), you can perform drag-and-drop actions from the physical to the virtual machine for usage.
However, this action only allows sharing small text or small-sized files. To share larger files, follow these steps:
Step 1: From the VM menu, choose Settings... (Image below)
Step 2: Switch to the Options tab, select Shared Folders, check Always Enabled.
Next, click 'Add' to choose the shared folder (Image below)
Step 3: Now, click 'Next' to proceed (Image below)
Step 4: Enter a name in the Name field and locate the folder to share using the 'Browse' button (Image below)
Step 5: Next, check Enable this share and click 'Finish' to complete (Image below)
Step 6: Immediately after creating, restart your computer and go to Network.
- Moving on to the subfolder, you'll come across a directory named Share.
This directory exists in the same location on both the physical and virtual machines.
