Zhao He, a former Chinese soldier who is now 95 years old, recently discovered that he has been living nearly 8 decades with a bullet lodged in his neck. After falling from his balcony, despite not sustaining any injuries, the elderly man felt some discomfort in his neck. Consequently, he requested his son to take him to the hospital for examination. To ensure thorough examination, doctors recommended an X-ray scan of his neck. While no injuries were detected in his neck, the X-ray revealed a foreign object lodged in his neck, later confirmed to be an old bullet.
Mr. Zhao He recounted his youth when he enlisted in the Chinese army and fought in battles against Japan and Korea. Despite experiencing multiple injuries during that period, he could not recall being 'shot in the neck.' According to information from his son-in-law, Mr. Zhao He sustained injuries while ferrying his comrades across a river during a battle, yet his body exhibited no signs of being shot. He believes he was shot in 1944 while ferrying his comrades across a river. He 'thinks' the bullet fired went through the left side of his nose, pierced through his upper jaw, breaking his tooth before lodging in his neck. After examining the X-ray film, the doctors informed that the bullet was located near some major blood vessels. Since it wasn't causing any harm to the elderly man's health, they recommended leaving the bullet undisturbed. Mr. Zhen He agreed, stating that he had been healthy all these years despite the bullet's presence, so there was no reason for surgery to remove it.Source: Odditycentral
