1. Char siu pork

Ingredients:
- Pork belly: 1kg
- Hoisin sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Five-spice powder: 1 tablespoon
- Char siu powder: 1/2 packet (about 50g)
- Sugar: 1/2 tablespoon
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- White wine: 2 tablespoons
- Ground pepper
- Minced garlic: 1 tablespoon
- Cooking oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions:
- Heat cooking oil in a pan, then sauté the garlic until fragrant and let it cool. Mix all the prepared spices in a bowl until well combined into a uniform mixture.
- Rub salt around the meat and rinse it with water to clean, then pat dry with paper towels.
- Place the pork in a bowl and spread the mixed spices evenly over the meat, then refrigerate overnight or if short on time, marinate for at least 30 - 60 minutes before cooking.
- Place the marinated meat in the rice cooker, add 200 ml water, cover the pot, turn on the rice cooking function, and wait for the meat to cook. If you don't want the sauce of the char siu pork, you can add only 100 ml water to the pot, this will make the meat drier.
- Once the meat is cooked, let it cool and then slice into bite-sized pieces.
2. Chicken stew

Ingredients:
- Cornish hen or small native chicken: 1
- Chinese herbal medicine packet (available at markets, with enough variety to stew the chicken)
- Seasonings, bouillon cubes, turmeric powder, ginger
- Mugwort leaves
Instructions:
- Rub salt all over the chicken and rinse with water. Then marinate the chicken with spices, ginger, and turmeric (finely crushed).
- Wash mugwort leaves thoroughly, then stuff them into the chicken's body.
- Arrange the prepared Chinese herbal medicine in the rice cooker, and place a layer of mugwort leaves next to it.
- Place the chicken on top and pour enough water to cover the surface of the chicken. Finally, cover the pot and turn on the rice cooking mode as usual. After 45 minutes, the chicken will be tender and you can enjoy this nutritious dish.
3. Corn sweet soup

Ingredients:
- Sweet corn: 3 ears
- Glutinous rice: 1/2 small bowl
- Palm sugar: 100g (palm sugar can be substituted with regular sugar, but palm sugar will make the sweet soup more fragrant)
- 3 pandan leaves
- Grated coconut: 50g
Instructions:
- Peel off the corn kernels, leaving some kernels near the core to boil for sweeter soup.
- Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly with pandan leaves.
- Place the corn kernels, corn core, and glutinous rice in the rice cooker, pour water until half full, and turn on the cooking mode. Once the rice cooker starts boiling, remove the corn core, add pandan leaves, cover the cooker, and continue cooking.
- Wait for the sweet soup to boil again, then add sugar and quickly stir. If the water is almost evaporated, add a little more water.
- Let the sweet soup boil again, then switch to the keep warm mode. After about 5 minutes, check if the ingredients are soft and cooked. Scoop the sweet soup into a bowl, sprinkle some grated coconut or coconut cream on top, and serve hot or cold.
4. Coconut sticky rice

Ingredients:
- 1/2 coconut
- Toasted sesame seeds
- 300g sticky rice
- Coconut milk
Instructions:
- Rinse the sticky rice thoroughly, soak it in cold water overnight. If you're short on time, you can soak the rice in warm water for about 3 hours. Then, mix the sticky rice with cooking oil, water, and salt, put it in the rice cooker and turn it on.
- After 10 minutes, pour the rice into a strainer, immediately dip it in a bowl of cold water, then lift it out and let it drain.
- Mix the sticky rice with coconut, toasted sesame seeds, coconut milk, and sugar evenly, put it back in the rice cooker and turn it on again. Since there's no water added this time, the rice cooker will quickly switch to the keep warm mode. Let it sit for 20 minutes, then stir well before serving.
5. Baked banana cake

Ingredients (for 5-7 servings):
- 1 egg
- 10 ripe bananas
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 200g coconut milk
- 400g unsweetened fresh milk
- 500g sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 50g butter
- 3 small loaves of bread
- 2 vanilla pods
- Red wine
Instructions:
- Peel the bananas, slice them into approximately 1cm thick rounds, and place them in a non-stick pan. Note: use ripe bananas for best results.
- Then add 1 tablespoon of sugar and 4 tablespoons of red wine, stir well to let the bananas soak up the sugar and red wine.
- Pour fresh milk, coconut milk, 2 vanilla pods, and 1/2 teaspoon salt into a bowl and stir until dissolved.
- Tear the bread into small pieces and place them in the bowl with the coconut milk mixture, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Let it sit for about 30 minutes for the bread to expand, then add the egg and flour mixture and stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Then pour the red wine-soaked bananas and sugar into the flour mixture, mix well by hand. Leave some of the pre-soaked bananas to decorate the surface of the cake.
- Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the mixture and mix well. The butter will not only prevent the cake from drying out but also give it a fragrant aroma.
- Spread a thin layer of butter or oil on the bottom of the rice cooker to make it easier to remove the cake when it's done. Then layer the pre-soaked bananas on the bottom of the rice cooker to make the cake look nicer, then pour the banana and flour mixture into the rice cooker, spread evenly.
- Turn on the cooking mode, cook for about 15 minutes. When the rice cooker switches to the keep warm mode, switch back to the cooking mode again. When the cooker signals it's done cooking for the second time, wait for about 30 minutes then remove it, and you'll have a fragrant baked banana cake.
