Refrigerators have long been regarded as versatile tools in household kitchens because of their ability to keep food fresh and preserve nutrients better than leaving food in normal environments. However, improper storage can make refrigerators a breeding ground for bacteria.

Addressing this concern, Panasonic's technical experts have integrated the latest bacteria eradication technology, BlueAg, into their refrigerators. The BlueAg operates by emitting high-intensity blue light from LED lamps, activating the silver surface on the Ag filter grid, generating Hydroxyl OH free radicals. These OH radicals adhere to and absorb Hydro from bacteria, subsequently forming water, thus eliminating bacteria on the filter grid. This ensures a clean and fresh airflow throughout, preserving food's freshness, nutrients, and flavors. Importantly, it minimizes bacterial growth and proliferation within the refrigerator environment.
PrimeFresh soft freezing technology at -3oC - preserving fresh food for the entire week
Alongside the new BlueAg bacteria eradication technology, Panasonic's experts have extensively researched PrimeFresh soft freezing technology at -3oC.
With a conventional freezer compartment, the cold air blows directly onto the food, causing external water to freeze inward, resulting in food freezing solid to the core. To thaw frozen food, it needs to be soaked in water, left at room temperature (for about 2 hours), or microwaved... All of which lead to significant water and nutrient loss from the food, affecting its original taste and nutritional content.
In contrast, soft freezing utilizes the principle of freezing the outer surface of the food while preserving the core's freshness and softness. When food is placed in the soft freeze compartment, the water within forms tiny super ice crystals. PrimeFresh soft freezing technology maintains food at the standard soft freezing temperature of -3oC. At this temperature, a thin 2mm layer of ice will encase the entire exterior of the food, effectively isolating it from the external air, preventing oxidation and bacterial invasion. This significantly extends the shelf life of fresh food and preserves its nutrients for up to 7 days.
With Panasonic's PrimeFresh soft freezing technology, food taken out from the freezer can be cooked immediately without the need for thawing, saving cooking time while maintaining its fresh flavor and nutritional value.
