According to Business Insider, Elon Musk is a father of twins born in 2021. The mother is Shivon Zilis, working at the artificial intelligence company Neuralink.
As of now, Musk has a total of 9 children, including 5 with his first wife, Justine Musk, and 2 with the singer Claire Boucher (stage name Grimes). According to court records, Musk and Zilis welcomed a set of twins in 2021. Zilis holds a leadership position at Neuralink.

Records indicate that Musk and Zilis submitted a request to change their children's names to 'bear the father's surname and include the mother's surname in the middle name.' The application was filed in Austin, Texas – the birthplace of the twins – and was approved. Zilis is believed to have given birth in November 2021, a few weeks before Musk and Boucher welcomed their second child through surrogacy.
Zilis, aged 36, was born in Canada and studied economics and philosophy at Yale University before working at IBM and Bloomberg Beta. She is considered a rising star in the field of artificial intelligence and has been featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 and LinkedIn 35 Under 35 lists.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Zilis serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Special Projects Lead at Neuralink. She commenced her tenure at the company in May 2017.
Musk owns and operates various companies such as Neuralink, the electric car company Tesla, space tourism company SpaceX, and the underground construction firm Boring Company. Recently, he agreed to acquire Twitter for $44 billion.
In the past, Musk supported increasing birth rates and stated, 'civilization will crumble' if people don't have more children. 'My point is, I'll do my part, haha,' he wrote on Twitter.
In April, one of Musk's daughters submitted a name change application, officially disassociating herself from Musk in a legal context.
