On Tuesday, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos surpassed Elon Musk to reclaim the title of the world's richest person. This happened as Tesla's stock price dropped by 2.4% to $796.22, causing Musk's wealth to decrease by $3.9 billion. The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX had surpassed Bezos in January to become the world's richest person due to the strong surge in Tesla's stock price.

As of last month, Bezos had held the title of the world's richest person continuously since 2017. In August of last year, he became the first person with a net worth over $200 billion and also the first to surpass the $150 billion mark in 2018. In early February of this year, Jeff Bezos announced his resignation as CEO of Amazon, and the current CEO of Amazon Web Services, Andrew Jassy, took over.
