Located on the border patrol route, in Hoành Mô commune (Bình Liêu district), border marker 1305 is the highest marker in Quảng Ninh province. With nearly 2km of winding uphill road, including sections that are almost vertical, one side overlooking a deep ravine, marker 1305 tests the health and perseverance of anyone. However, upon arrival, travelers will be 'compensated' with poetic majestic scenery.
To reach marker 1305, from the Hoành Mô border gate, travelers can go by car or motorcycle along the border patrol route. Parking at the foot of the hill, it takes about an additional 1.5 hours to climb to the top. Previously, there was no road, only a rough trail which made it difficult for those wanting to conquer this place.
Nowadays, the road to marker 1305 has been further developed with a stairway approximately 1.8 km long with a total of over 2,000 steps. When reaching the top of the marker, travelers can witness the majestic border landscape of the motherland, with towering peaks forming undulating waves, lush green.
