Activities and Sightseeing
On the island, there's a lighthouse station and a border patrol post. Visitors to the island usually make day trips and staying overnight doesn't require prior permission.
The island features a beautiful beach with clear blue water, perfect for camping.
Accompanying the lighthouse guards, you'll be guided to explore Hon Nua lighthouse and admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the endless blue sea surrounding the island. These guards are also hospitable hosts, as there aren't many visitors staying on the island.
The boundary marker, dividing Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa, is also an interesting spot for people to visit and take photos.
Located on the northern side of Hon Nua are towering cliffs rising directly from the sea, creating a stunning sight. These colossal cliffs, with their rugged surfaces, provide a mystical feeling. As you climb higher, you'll discover more beautiful spots to admire the sea.
In the rock crevices by the sea, there are plenty of limpets and sea snails. You can borrow nets from the border guards to catch them. During the day, the snails are small, but at night, they grow larger. You can also arrange with the boat owner to catch and buy them at 25,000 Vietnamese dong per kilogram.
In the evening, enjoy a beachside barbecue feast grilling limpets and sea snails over a campfire. You can also catch some crabs to grill, although they may be scarce and dry, they taste remarkably sweet. Upon returning, you can ask the boat owner to take you on a tour around the island to explore the swallow caves and the towering rocky promontory.
