Essentials for Traveling to China:
Visa: Obtain your visa either directly from the Consulate (cost: $60) or opt for a service provider for approximately $75.
Money: You can exchange currency at gold shops or currency exchange offices. In Saigon, head to District 1 or the Western Quarter. In Hanoi, you can go to Ha Trung Street.
Chinese: Especially in China, English communication will be severely limited, almost unusable. It's advisable to travel with someone who knows Chinese.

Suggested Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Nanning
From Gia Lam Station, take the train to Nanning. The train departs at 9:30 PM daily, with a ticket price of 750,000 VND per person. Particularly, if you travel in a group of 6 or find people to share the cost, the ticket price is around 530,000 VND per person.
By 10:30 AM the next day, you will arrive in Nanning. If you wish to stay here for a while, you can spend a day in Nanning before heading to Guilin. For convenience, you can purchase tickets and continue to Guilin (ticket price is around 80 RMB).

Day 2: Quelam – Long Tich terraced fields
Arrived in Quelam, must visit Long Tich. One of the top ten most beautiful terraced fields in the world. After getting off at Quelam station, ask for directions to the bus station, about 300m from the station, you can also walk. Buy tickets to Long Tich, the journey takes about 2 hours.
Buy tickets to enter the gate for sightseeing, then hike about 1 km by road and mountain to reach the top of the mountain. Rent a guesthouse for overnight stay.

At an altitude of 880m above sea level, combined with the hidden mist, the Long Tich terraced fields are likened to stairs leading to the sky. Each season has its own scenery, attracting countless photographers and filmmakers.
At Long Tich, you can stay at a hostel, both cheap and able to make new friends. Check-in, have dinner, then return to the room to rest. The food here is quite delicious, with dishes such as: bamboo tube rice, stir-fried vegetables, fried eggs... Especially try the rice wine, said to be a specialty here.


Day 3: Long Tich terraced fields
Here, there are 4 points to observe the beautiful terraced fields. To visit all 4 points, you will have to spend the whole day hiking and climbing mountains. You should try to visit all 4 locations because each one will offer you a different view.



Day 4: Long Tich – Duong Soc, Que Lam
In Que Lam, there are many beautiful scenes. If Long Tich gives you a sense of majestic mountains and enchanting terraced fields, Duong Soc will charm you with a very different beauty: both modern and ancient. Here, you can see an amusement park, bustling shopping areas, but surrounded by mountains and ancient houses.
Leave Long Tich, take a bus back to the city, then buy another bus ticket to Duong Soc. Here, there are cheap guesthouses for tourists, located right in the city center.


Upon arrival at Duong Soc, check into the guesthouse and rest. Then, you can wander around the western quarter for a walk and dinner. There is a wide range of foods and various types of eateries, from upscale restaurants to street food stalls. Especially here, there is an incredibly unique craftsman who can mold clay into anyone you want, just by having a picture. Price is 80 yuan, well worth the money.

Wandering around the western quarter here, you can easily find gentle cafes or bar clubs with hosts dressed up as historical figures of China such as Kangxi or Emperor Kangxi.


Day 5: Exploring Dương Sóc – Nam Ninh
In Dương Sóc, lies the enchanting Lệ Giang River, famously depicted on the 20 yuan bill of China. A picturesque and serene setting awaits your wanderlust. Navigating the entirety of Lệ Giang could easily consume your entire day. From Dương Sóc, a 30-minute drive to the outskirts leads to renting a boat for a scenic upstream voyage.


Cruising along the Lệ Giang River alone constitutes a full day's journey. Afterwards, return to Quế Lâm for dinner. At 10:00 PM, catch the train from Quế Lâm back to Nam Ninh.
Day 6: Nam Ninh – Hanoi
In Nam Ninh, make a pit stop at notable spots such as the night market and Trung Sơn culinary market. The train journey from Nam Ninh to Hanoi departs at 5:00 PM. Conclude your adventure filled journey with memorable experiences.
