Al-Ehsan Cathedral is located in the Chăm village of Da Phuoc, which is predominantly inhabited by the Chăm people. As soon as you step into the village, you'll easily spot men wearing turbans and square hats, with older men wearing white hats and younger ones wearing black hats. Women wrap themselves in dark scarves covering their faces. It feels like you're stepping into a true Islamic country rather than Vietnam.

The cathedral features a predominantly white color scheme, with some decorative elements or small details in shades of green, resembling the architecture of mosques in Dubai. Al-Ehsan consists of a ground floor and a mezzanine, surrounded by wide corridors. These corridors serve as the procession area for the village, a resting place for the elderly, and also a communal dining area for celebrations.
Important Note
- If you want to capture beautiful photos, it's best to visit here between 10 am and 12 pm. Although it's quite sunny, the cathedral is usually empty during this time, with hardly any locals or tourists around.
- Even though there are daily cleaning routines, before stepping onto the stairs, remember to take off your shoes as a sign of respect and courtesy since it's a cathedral.
- About 200 meters from the cathedral, there are 2 souvenir shops selling traditional products of the Chăm ethnic group.
