If you haven't visited Halong Bay in a while, now's the time to go because there are so many exciting travel experiences waiting for you.
Embark on the ultimate adventure in Halong Bay with these 7 thrilling experiences.
Kayaking Expedition
No trip to Halong is complete without experiencing the bay's beauty through a kayaking expedition. Paddling on the serene waters, surrounded by mesmerizing natural landscapes, is a simple yet incredibly enjoyable activity.

Halong Bay was once voted by National Geographic Adventures as one of the top 25 kayaking destinations in the world. There are plenty of places to rent kayaks (at tourist boat docks, on various islands), with prices ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 VND per hour depending on the type of kayak (single, double, or triple seat).
Experience a Night on a Luxury Cruise
Imagine staying in a floating hotel, complete with cozy rooms, clean bedding, air conditioning, and private bathrooms. It's fascinating to relax in your own space, open the window, and marvel at the majestic mountains, serene waters, and graceful fish and jellyfish swimming right below your room's window. At night, you can even climb to the deck to stargaze and admire the sea under the moonlight.

Marvel at Halong Bay from a Seaplane
If you've ever enjoyed the scenic beauty of Halong Bay on a cruise but still crave for those picturesque views you've seen in advertisements, then there's nothing more ideal than admiring Halong Bay from a seaplane.

In Vietnam, Hai Au Aviation is the first private airline to offer seaplane sightseeing services, featuring premium scenic flights. The aircraft, equipped with 2 seats for pilots, 12 seats for passengers, and spacious windows, allows passengers to comfortably admire the stunning scenery from above and capture memorable moments of Halong Bay from heights ranging from 150 to 3,000 meters above sea level.

Notably, The New York Times (USA) once voted admiring Halong Bay from a seaplane as one of the most attractive tourist services in 2015.

Riding the ‘double-decker bus cable car’
On June 25th, the newly inaugurated Ha Long cable car system commenced operations after 2 years of construction. The project is part of a 6 trillion VND entertainment complex stretching along the coastline from Bai Chay Beach to Ba Deo Hill (Hon Gai).

The tower at Bai Chay stands at a height of 188.8 meters, setting a record as the world's tallest tower. The tower at Ba Deo Hill is 133 meters high. The cable car system has only 2 cabins, likened to a gigantic double-decker bus with a capacity of 230 people per cabin. Inside the spacious cabin are seats, handrails, and bars for passengers. Surrounding them are large glass windows allowing passengers to enjoy a panoramic view of Ha Long Bay from above.
