One of the adored tourist spots in Hue today is undoubtedly the Hon Vong Peak. Here, besides chasing clouds, visitors can witness the picturesque mountains, creating a poetic panorama.
Embarking on a Cloud Hunt at the Enchanting Hon Vong Peak in Hue

Hon Vong is located in Dong Cham hamlet (Huong Ho commune, Huong Tra district, Thua Thien – Hue province). The summit of Hon Vong was once a U.S. military base, bearing remnants of a wartime airstrip, trenches, bunkers, and more. The area still hosts some wild animals today.

The best time to explore the summit of Hon Vong is ideally between April and August (during the dry season). The journey involves not only trekking but also navigating through relatively slippery reed fields. After conquering the reed fields, you will continue ascending various hills, a challenging yet rewarding effort.

For an unforgettable conquest of Hon Vong Peak, besides essentials like a tent, tarp, and camera, make sure to bring enough water and some snacks. If planning to stay overnight, don't forget to bring a tent and a camera to capture the beautiful moments as night falls.

Undoubtedly, the summit of Hon Vong is suitable for those passionate about adventurous travel. This will certainly be an exciting journey when you step into Hue. This summer, gather your friends and come here for some fantastic experiences.
