Most visitors exploring Nghe An will stay in the town of Cua Lo, a sought-after destination in the summer tourism season. This place boasts a beach renowned as one of the ideal beaches in Vietnam, with its azure waters and gentle waves...
Attractions:
Vinh City serves as the economic and social hub of Nghe An, with a history spanning over 220 years. Since the late 18th century, Emperor Quang Trung, before advancing north to combat the invading Qing forces, chose this location to establish Hoang Trung Do precinct near Quyet Mountain and Lam River. Vinh City also preserves various historical and cultural landmarks such as Hong Son Temple, Vinh Citadel, Thuy Wharf, and museums like the Soviet-Nghe Tinh Museum, Military Zone 4 Museum, and comprehensive museum exhibitions.

Kim Lien – Nam Dan: When visiting Nghe An, one instantly thinks of Nam Dan, the homeland of Uncle Ho, to marvel at and experience the beauty of its mountains and rivers, listen to the melodious local tunes, and witness artifacts associated with the homeland, family, and childhood memories of the beloved leader. The historical and cultural relics of Kim Lien include both the external and internal homeland, the tomb area of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan, Uncle Ho's maternal homeland on Dai Hue Mountain, and Nui Chung relic with its square-shaped monument connected to other prominent relics of Nam Dan such as King Mai Temple and the memorial area of the eminent patriot Phan Boi Chau.
Den Cuong, Cua Hien – Dien Chau: These are historical and cultural relics dedicated to King An Thuc Dương Vuong. Not far from Den Cuong is Cua Hien Beach, where land and sea harmonize, and it is believed that the mythical turtle escorted the lost king away forever.
Pù Mát National Primeval Forest is a renowned natural reserve, boasting a rich biodiversity and vast expanse. Visitors here immerse themselves in the enchanting embrace of nature, experiencing activities like boating on the river, visiting Pha Lai Dam, Khe Kem Waterfall, and relishing in authentic local dishes such as bamboo-cooked rice and fresh fish from the Giang River by the Dan Lai ethnic group. Especially during scorching summer days, a visit to Pù Mát primeval forest feels like stepping into the cool realms of Sapa or Đà Lạt in Central Vietnam.
Cửa Lò Beach is hailed by the World Tourism Organization as one of Vietnam's most idyllic beaches, stretching nearly 10 km along the coast. It is embraced by two rivers at its ends, boasting gentle slopes, crystal-clear waters, moderate waves, and suitable salinity. Cửa Lò Beach is divided into three smaller sections: Lan Châu Beach, Xuân Hương Beach, and Song Ngư Beach, offering activities such as parasailing, jet skiing, and night squid fishing.
Lan Châu Island: Locals affectionately call Lan Châu Island 'Rú Cóc,' as its shape resembles that of a giant frog reaching out into the sea. Lan Châu Island divides Cửa Lò Beach into two distinct areas. Particularly fascinating is during high tide when the entire base of the island is submerged, creating intriguing rock formations sculpted by the waves' erosion. At the summit stands the Nghinh Phong Pavilion, providing panoramic views of the town and Cửa Lò port.
