As winter approaches, the renowned ice hotel prepares to officially open its doors. The refurbished appearance of this icy retreat shines even brighter than its previous renditions.
Icehotel holds the distinction of being the longest-running ice hotel globally, celebrating its 33rd year in operation. Each winter, for over 30 years, the hotel undergoes a transformation, presenting a fresh face to the world.

The 2022 edition promises a complete departure from previous years, with architectural and amenity overhauls. Every nook of this accommodation is crafted from ice. The ice hotel features a chilling bar, a cinema encased in ice, and an event hall, spanning an anticipated area of 3,000 square meters. Last year, the hotel utilized 600 tons of ice from the nearby Torne River for construction.

This year, Icehotel has invited 24 artists to redesign the rooms. The rooms are in the final stages of completion, and Icehotel plans to welcome guests from December 15th.
All rooms are constructed from ice, requiring a constant low temperature, with the minimum around -5 degrees Celsius. Guests are advised to utilize sleeping bags and blankets to retain warmth. Some rooms are equipped with heating devices.

Beyond accommodating overnight guests, the hotel opens its doors for day visitors. In addition to in-house services, visitors can explore trekking tours, boat trips, and ice fishing on the nearby frozen lake.

Starting at a base price of 603 USD for a 3-night stay. On the first night, guests will embrace the bone-chilling experience at the ice hotel, followed by the next 2 nights in standard rooms.
Due to its unique structure, the hotel welcomes guests for a limited period of 3 months, from December 15th to April 2023. After this time, the hotel will melt, and the water will flow back into the nearby Torne River.
