Warmth and Comfort with Oak Wood Furniture in the Kitchen
- Oak Wood: Oak wood is extremely hard, heavy, with smooth wood fibers and a slightly sour smell but not strong. It is highly durable, resistant to termites, and warping. Often used for high-end furniture such as tables, chairs, beds, and carved statues. When polished, oak wood shines due to its natural oils.
- Pine Wood: There are many types of pine wood, but white pine is more commonly used because of its beautiful wood grain, light brown-red heartwood, white-yellow-brown wood, and many large and small knots. Pine wood is highly absorbent and widely used to make sofa frames, especially because of its pine resin, a natural and highly effective termite repellent.

Kitchen cabinets made of pine wood provide excellent termite resistance.
Cherry Wood: This wood comes in shades of yellow, cherry pink, and chestnut brown, with beautiful natural wood grain, providing a warm and luxurious feeling. Cherry wood is often used for sofas nowadays due to its abundant source of materials, hard wood, smooth wood fibers, and beautiful grain. However, this type of wood is prone to termite infestation.

Engineered Wood
In the Vietnamese furniture market, furniture made from engineered wood includes 06 notable types: MFC, MDF, HDF, Plywood, finger-jointed wood, and plastic wood boards. All 6 types have different characteristics and features suitable for various customer requirements. Detailed information on each type:
Industrial Wood MFC - Melamine Faced Chipboard:
Industrial Wood MFC is manufactured from plantation woods such as acacia, eucalyptus, rubber… After harvesting, the wood is chipped into small pieces, combined with adhesive, and pressed to create thickness. It does not use miscellaneous wood or waste as people often think. MFC has 2 types:
● Moisture-resistant MFC is identified by its chip core and light green color (water-resistant type)
● Regular MFC typically only has a chip core and no green color

- Finger Jointed Wood: Finger jointed wood, also known as finger jointed board, is produced from plantation wood. The small wood pieces undergo advanced technology processing, including drying, cutting, planing, milling, joining, pressing, sanding, and decorative painting.
- Industrial Wood MDF – Medium Density Fiberboard
The technology and raw materials used to produce MDF are similar to MFC. However, the wood is ground into fibers instead of chips, resulting in better quality than chipboard MFC.

- Industrial Wood HDF – High Density Fiberboard
HDF board, also known as HDF laminate board, is made from wood powder of various natural woods. The wood powder is treated with additives to increase the hardness of the wood, resist pests, and then pressed under high pressure to form the HDF board.

HDF wood kitchen cabinets are more expensive than MFC and MDF wood types.
- Plywood: Plywood, also known as engineered wood, is made by pressing thin sheets of wood veneer in alternating directions to increase strength. It has better load-bearing capabilities than MDF and MFC.
- Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) Board: WPC board is a new material, a type of synthetic material, formed from wood flour and plastic. It is commonly used as a material in interior wood furniture design such as kitchen cabinets or other wet areas like bathrooms, storerooms...
