1. Kalahari Map
Players will have the chance to experience the new Kalahari map after the global launch of Garena Free Fire OB20 update. Some players believe that Kalahari is a refurbished version, redesigned from the old Kal Kalariari map introduced a few months ago.
2. New Pet
A new pet named Poring has appeared in the Garena Free Fire OB20 Update and it seems to be a flying pet. Poring has a bubble-like shape and it has the ability to heal players' damaged armor after reaching the maximum level.
3. Bomb Squad Mode
In the Bomb Squad mode, two teams will randomly appear on the map. When the match starts, one of the teams will play the role of attackers while the other team will defend. The attacking team must plant a bomb, and the defending team must prevent them from doing so. There are a total of seven rounds in a match, and the team that wins more rounds will win overall. The gameplay of the Bomb Squad mode is very similar to CSGO, with one side being terrorists and the other side being counter-terrorists.
4. Shield Gun
While playing on the Kalahari map on test servers, Mytour discovered a new weapon in the game called the Shield Gun. The primary aim of the Shield Gun is to create a protective shield in front of the shooter to reduce damage. Simply put, it's the first weapon in Free Fire that can be used for both shooting and creating a temporary armor shield around the body, protecting the player.
5. New Character Steffie
A stunning new character named Steffie has been added in the Garena Free Fire OB20 Update. Steffie is a professional Graffiti artist, and her ability is to create Graffiti to reduce explosive and bullet damage. At level 1, she reduces 15% explosive damage and 5% bullet damage for 5 seconds. At maximum level, Steffie reduces explosive damage up to 25% and bullet damage by 7.5% for 10 seconds.
