When asked about the qualities that appeal to Vietnamese youth on the Tinder dating app, a sense of humor tops the list (55%), followed by pet lovers (46%), and then food enthusiasts (31.9%).

Known as the Explorer generation, today's youth view dates as opportunities to step out of their comfort zones and explore the world. Vietnamese youth tend to swipe right on those with interesting hobbies, lifestyles, and inspirations, as they believe these dates provide chances to experience new aspects of life (58%).

Young individuals have also been utilizing more tools to filter out inappropriate behaviors according to community standards (63.5%) or control their own experiences, such as Unmatch feature (50.6%), Profile Verification feature (42.2%), and Reporting (32.3%). Additionally, they are willing to swipe left on profiles without displaying faces (62.8%), or with empty bios (47%) or unverified profiles (39.9%).
