The Hibernate feature helps users save a lot of time rebooting compared to Shutdown and conserves battery life for laptops or power for desktop computers more than Sleep mode. In this article, Mytour will guide you through activating Hibernate Mode in Windows 8.
How to Activate Hibernate Mode on Windows 8
Step 1: Click on the battery icon in the bottom right corner of the taskbar → More Power Options
Step 2: In the Power Options window, select Choose what the power button does
Step 3: Click on the line Change settings that are currently unavailable
Step 4: Scroll down under Shutdown Settings to find the Hibernate feature. Check the box for Hibernate → Save changes
Now, after accessing Power, you'll notice the addition of the Hibernate feature.
From now on, you can opt for Hibernate to expedite your system boot-up, as it restores your previous session instead of requiring a complete restart.
