An intriguing duo caught the spotlight as they embarked on a love-filled photo shoot clad in traditional H’ Mong attire at the beautiful locations of the Cát Cát tourist village, Sa Pa.
A romantic photo series amidst the wilderness
With the desire to preserve memories on their first family introduction, the couple Thao A Hoang (1997, Lào Cai) and Vu Anh Thu (2000, Lai Châu) collaborated on a romantic photo series at the Cát Cát tourist village, Sa Pa.
The couple chose traditional costumes of the H'Mong ethnic people and filmed at Tien Sa waterfall, located in Cat Cat village, San Sa Ho commune, 3km north of the center of Sapa town.
This is considered a destination that attracts many tourists when visiting Cat Cat village because of its picturesque and pristine scenery. 'Even though I have been to Tien Sa stream, Cat Cat village for the third time, I am still fascinated by the beauty here,' Anh Thu shared.
It is known that Thu is currently a nail technician in Sin Ho town, Sin Ho district, Lai Chau province, while Hoang is working at Hoang Lien National Park in Sapa town.
According to the couple's sharing, Sa Pa tourism has reopened, welcoming tourists who meet the Covid-19 prevention and control requirements of the Ministry of Health.
Choosing to take photos on a weekday, the area around Tien Sa waterfall was not overly crowded with tourists. As a result, the couple easily found private, beautiful, and impressive shooting angles.
'Around Cat Cat village, there are many beautiful photo spots for tourists, especially when wearing ethnic costumes. Most couples often choose modernized costumes, but we chose traditional costumes because we love the inherent simplicity and beauty of the H'Mong people,' shared Anh Thu.
The photo set left an impression as both young individuals possessed delicate, radiant faces amidst the tranquil, romantic backdrop blending with the majestic, pristine scenery of Cat Cat village. The couple exchanged gestures, tender glances full of affection, deeply touching netizens.
Thu shared: 'Hoang is from the H'mong ethnic group in Sa Pa while I am of mixed race, with a father who is Kinh and a mother who is H'Mong. Since childhood, I have lived and grown up in Lai Chau, so I am accustomed to and fond of H'mong attire. That's why we chose this costume for the commemorative photo set.'
It took the photo team a whole day to complete the photo shoot. Thu revealed that on the day of the shoot, there was heavy fog, and the team was worried they couldn't proceed. Fortunately, an hour before the scheduled time, the sun began to shine; just after finishing the shoot, it started raining.
After posting their photos in a travel group, Thu and Hoang received a lot of love and feedback from netizens.
Many praised the couple's charm and elegance, while others expressed admiration for the serene beauty mixed with the rustic charm of Cat Cat village. Many netizens also expressed their desire to have a beautiful photo set with their loved ones in Sa Pa in the near future.
Sharing her thoughts about her partner, Anh Thu confessed: 'Hoang is gentle and always listens to me, especially he cares about me even in small matters. Although we are not close geographically, Hoang always manages to visit me every weekend despite the difficult journey. His sincerity touches me deeply and I truly appreciate it.' As for Hoang, he is moved by Anh Thu's understanding and willingness to share.
It is known that the love story of the couple has received enthusiastic support from both families. Despite being together for a short time, they have found many commonalities in each other.
Anh Thu shared: 'The time we've been together may seem short and fast to consider marriage, but I believe that if you meet someone who understands and cherishes you, then time becomes irrelevant.'
The couple also plans to hold an engagement ceremony next month and officially move in together after Tet (Lunar New Year). Thu revealed that their wedding photoshoot in the future may take place at the cherry blossom garden on O Long tea hill, Sa Pa.
It is known that this is a popular destination attracting a large number of tourists to the 'city of thousands of clouds' every year due to the brilliant red color and mesmerizing beauty of cherry blossoms mingled with white clouds—a breathtaking sight that captivates the heart.
