Gaze at the azure sea or stroll barefoot on the smooth sand at Hon Kho to recharge with 'vitamin sea' this summer.
Enchanting views intoxicate the heart on the rocky island more than trees in Quy Nhon
Hon Kho, also known as Hon Kho Island, is one of the 32 islands along the coast of Binh Dinh province, located in Hai Dong hamlet, Nhon Hai commune, Quy Nhon, approximately 15 km from the city center. Formerly a sparsely populated island, it has since become a rather attractive tourist destination in the land of martial arts thanks to its stunning, untouched natural scenery.

There are no local residences, hotels, or accommodation services on the island, so you must rent a hotel in Quy Nhon and catch a boat from the mainland to Hon Kho. The cost is around 300,000 VND for a normal boat and 900,000 VND for a high-speed canoe that can accommodate about 6 people. The boat stops at the pier, where you'll immediately encounter a wooden pathway leading to the beach, also a playground and a place for young people to have fun.
During the day, when the tide recedes, the sandy path emerges, allowing tourists to walk far out into the sea. The water is so clear that you can completely see the bottom. From March to September every year is the best time to admire the scenery and swim at Hon Kho. The coastal weather is quite hot in the summer, and the island, true to its name, is more rocky than green, stark and barren, as its name suggests, so you will have to endure the scorching sun of the Central region. Nevertheless, Hon Kho still attracts many tourists from all over thanks to its smooth sandy beaches and the inherent beauty of untouched nature, relatively unaffected by human hands.

High-speed canoeing is a popular sport activity here. For about 100,000 VND per person, the driver will take you on a tour around the island, experiencing the exhilarating feeling of riding the waves. Additionally, diving to observe the coral reefs is an experience worth trying for those who love the sea.
There are no dining services or eateries on Hon Kho, so tourists must prepare their own food if they want to camp. Alternatively, they can rent a fishing boat from fishermen and visit the fish farms in the middle of the sea to catch fresh fish before 'self-processing' upon returning to shore. Note that this is an uninhabited island, so you must have environmental awareness and clean up after eating. Motion sickness pills, mosquito repellent, insect repellent, and sunscreen are also essential items when going to the island. Additionally, only embark on boats, canoes, or coral viewing when you have sufficient safety gear such as life jackets.
